When bread makers first came out years back people felt that all you could use them for was plain white bread. Well that is not even close to being true any more. There are now dozens of fantastic recipes available for all kinds of bread. What you will find is that the ingredients you use in a bread machine will be a little different than if you were baking bread normally. The results are just as good however.

Below is a selection of recipes that are very simple to make, very affordable, and most of all, deliciously healthy. They only take a few minutes to prepare and the results will make everyone happy. So go ahead and try them out. Crack open your breadmaker and give one of these yummy recipes a try.

Basic White Bread

1 1/4 cups water

2 tablespoons powdered milk

2 TBSP oil (l usually use canola)

1 tsp salt

3 1/4 cups all purpose flour

1 1/4 tsp yeast

Just use the standard wet on the bottom dry on top mixing process. This is delicious with butter and honey while it is still hot.

Grain & Honey Bread

3/4 cup warm water

2 TBSP honey (liquid or melted)

2 TBSP olive oil

1 tsp salt

2 TBSP lemon juice

3 1/2 cups whole wheat flour (mixed grain flower is OK too)

1/2 cup rolled oats

2 tsps granulated yeast

Put the salt in the breadmaker first, then add all other ingredients except the yeast, oats and flour. Add the oats and flour. Make a small hole at the top of the dry ingredients for the yeast. Bake as usual.

Cheesy Buttermilk Bread

This yields a moist and tasty loaf. It also stores very well, but you'll probably finish it before that even matters!

1 and 1/8 cups buttermilk

1 tsp salt

2 TBSP sugar

.75 cup extra sharp chedder (grated)

3 cups bread flour

1.5 tsps bread machine yeast

Prepare as usual. All wet ingredients first, then the cheese, then dry ingredients, and the yeast on top.

Oat Bread

Use natural rolled oats. Just put them in a pot with boiling water, and then let them soak until they cool off. Then add the other ingredients and proceed as usual.

1 cup rolled oats

11 fl.oz. water

1/2 tsp salt

3 Tbsp brown sugar

2 Tbsp olive oil

3 cups flour

1 tsp yeast

A bread machine is probably a much smaller kitchen appliances. The ability of freshly baked bread greatly through your house smell is also a plus.

If your one of those people who have never tried to make homemade bread, because it seems to be hard work and take lots of time and effort, is a bread machine for bread making process much easier and more fun.

Browsing the internet I came across some recipes to bake bread in aMachine, and just sounds absolutely wonderful, too good to keep in order for me.

Nut banana bread

Ingredients:

½ cup margarine, soft
2 / 3 cup milk
2 eggs
2 ½ cups flour
1 cup white sugar
2 ½ teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 / 3 cup mashed banana (about 2-3)
½ cup chopped walnuts

Directions:

Spray the pan with vegetable oil spray Pam or bread machine.
Premix Ingredientsin the same order as the list of ingredients. Pour the mixture into the bread machine pan.
Select quick bread or cake cycle. Press Start. Check after about 1 minute to see if the mixture well blended.
Cook until the cycle ends cake. Remove the pan and cool completely before removing bread from pan.

The recipe is a 1-pound Bread 10 servings.

French bread

Ingredients:

1 ¼ cups of water (70-80 ° F)
2 teaspoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt
3 ½ cups of breadFlour
1 ½ teaspoons dry yeast
1 tablespoon cornmeal
ENAMEL
1 egg
1 tablespoon water
2 teaspoons toasted sesame seeds

Directions:

1 bread machine pan, place the first five ingredients in the order recommended by the manufacturer. Select dough setting (check dough after 5 minutes, stirring, add 1 or 2 tablespoons water or flour if needed).
2 The cycle is completed, turn dough onto a lightly floured surface. Divide in half. Roll each portionin a 10-in. x 8-in. Rectangle. Roll up jelly-roll style, starting with a long side, pinch seam to seal.
3 Sprinkle greased baking sheet filled with cornmeal, place loaves seam down prepared pan. Cover and rise in a warm place until doubled, about 20 minutes.
Beat 4 eggs and water and brush over loaves. With a sharp knife to four bars on the top surface of each loaf. Sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired. Bake at 375 degrees C for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.Cool on rack.

Onion Focaccia with cheese

Ingredients:

3 / 4 cup water (70 to 80 degrees F)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups flour
1 tablespoon sugar
1 1 / 2 teaspoon dry yeast
2 medium onions, quartered and sliced
3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 / 4 cup butter
2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

Directions

In bread machine pan 1,Place first six ingredients in order recommended by the manufacturer. Select dough setting (check dough after 5 minutes, stirring, add 1 or 2 tablespoons water or flour if needed).
2 When the cycle is completed, turn dough on a lightly greased 12-in. Pizza pan and pat into a 10-in. Circle. Cover and rise in a warm place until doubled, about 30 minutes. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, fry the onions and garlic in butter for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown. Stir in ItalianSeasoning, cook for 1 minute more.
3 Facing the end of a wooden spoon, make 1 inch deep indentations in the dough. Top with onion mixture and cheese. Bake at 400 degrees C for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown. Serve hot.
